Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying Blogmas 2020 even those it’s a little less than typical. This year is just a crazy one and I hope that my simple, Christmas inspired posts help provide some happiness in this world of chaos. While I was planning this year’s blogmas, I saw the idea of making a holiday bucket list and thought that would be a fun idea. It took some thinking but I have compiled my own personalized Christmas-inspired bucket list. Not only that, I’ve created a fun customizable printable for you to download and make your own holiday bucket list on.
From little to small, there are hundreds of different things you could add to your own bucket list that is holiday-inspired. Maybe you prefer a more “doable” bucket list that you can do yearly. Maybe you want to make one that is full of holiday things you’d like to do at some point in your life. Mine is a little bit of both but leans more to stuff that I just want to do eventually in my life.
I’ve also created a customizable printable that you can print and use! It has 10 spots for you to fill in your personal preferences for your list. I hope you can download it and create your own each year. And if you’re like me and make it more of an overall life bucket list of holiday things…hopefully we can eventually mark off some of those items.
My holiday bucket List + customizable printable
#1 Visit a European Christmas Market
When I was writing for some travel blogs I did a lot of research into the Christmas river cruises which visited many different Christmas markets. Friends, they look amazing! I really want to try and visit some European Christmas markets at some point in my life. The lights, the Wassil, the old cobblestone streets…it doesn’t get much more Christmassy than that!
#2 Write a Christmas book
Being a writer, I would love to write a Christmas book! Whether it’s a YA novel or even a children’s book. I think it would be so cool to write a Christmas book.
#3 Create an epic gingerbread house
I’ve never been very good at gingerbread houses…to be honest, I’m too impatient. My walls never seem to stick! But eventually, I would love to create an epic gingerbread house to celebrate the Christmas season.
#4 Have multiple Christmas Trees in my house
I love color and I love Christmas trees. In fact, I would have a hard time choosing just one theme for a tree. Therefore, multiple trees would be the best answer, right?
#5 Have a full Christmas Village (decoration)
Growing up my mom and grandma loved the Department 56 villages. As a child, my grandma bought us an ornament a year and once we got into college it switched to buying us a piece of Department 56 Christmas Village each year. I personally started collecting pieces from the North Pole Series. I hope to one day have a whole village! But they aren’t as easy to find as they once were.
#6 Visit Disney World at Christmas
There is no better place to be than Disney during the holidays. Enough said!
#7 Have a wrapping party with friends
I just think it would be so fun to have a wrapping party with your friends. Watch Christmas movies, drink hot chocolate, and wrap away!
#8 Visit a Christmas town here in the states
While I want to visit the Christmas markets in Europe…there are Christmas towns here in the states I would like to visit. If you know of a good one, let me know in the comments!
#9 Go on a Christmas scavenger hunt
I just think it sounds fun to go on an epic Christmas scavenger hunt! Have you ever done one??
#10 Make an advent calendar for my family
As much as I love getting presents, I also enjoy giving them as well. I would love to create a big advent for my family. Whether it would be presents or activities to do…I just think it would be a fun process!
