Sephora Gift-Guide: makeup under $50 || Blogmas 2020
The Sephora Favorites gift sets are always a great gift because you get to try many different brands in one gift. This set is full of awesome lip products in both reds and nudes. The website says that this is worth over $120! There are five deluxe size items and three full-size items in this set. Some of the high-end brands you’ll get to try with this set are Fenty, Too Faced, Nars, Makeup Forever, Patrick Ta, Ilia, KVD, and lastly YSL. Some really good brands, right? It seems like there are four nudes and 4 red shades so a great mix of both! This set would be a great gift for any of your family or friends who enjoy lip products!
Staying with the lip product theme…this mini trio from Charlotte Tilbury looks awesome! There are 3 mini versions of the matte revolution lipstick. The shades are Pillow Talk (nude-pink), Walk of No Shame (berry-rose), and Very Victoria (taupe-nude). If you know anything about makeup, you’ll know that Charlotte Tilbury is a pretty prestigious brand and I’m sure any makeup lover would love this set. Which is why I wanted to share it on my Sephora gift-guide. These lippies are said to be long-lasting, buildable, and hydrating. The shades seem pretty versatile for most skintone but there are two that are fairly light.
Anastasia has some great palette’s. The Riviera palette is still one of my absolute favorites and I’ve been wanting to try a few more. But I was thrilled when when I saw that they were selling a mini version of their Soft Glam palette. I hadn’t seen any mini versions of their more popular palette’s until now and I think it’s such a great idea. This palette looks like it has 6 matte’s and 2 shimmers from the pictures. I love the deep maroon shade as well as that champagne shimmer! It seriously look very wearable for many different skintones and makeup application levels. The palette is a good mix of cool and warm toned shadows. Great way to get your friends or family a nice, high-end palette at a cheaper price tag.
In my world, brushes are always a good idea! I think this gold brimmed brush set is a perfect gift for makeup newbies and old makeup pros. it is an 8-piece set that includes a powder brush, foundation brush, blush brush, contour brush, concealer brush, shadow brush, crease brush, brow brush, and a pouch. Wow. That’s a lot of the word brush. I think this is a great mix of brushes and would make a great starter kit. For Sephora Collection, this is a pretty good price. Every single brush is anywhere from $10-30 in the Sephora Collection so it definitely seems to be a good deal. And they are pretty brushes- always a plus!
Sometimes you just want something from a fancy brand, ya know? Lancome is far beyond my typical budget but this mascara set seems to be a pretty good deal. This set comes with one mascara base and 3 mini mascaras. I know some people don’t like deluxe size or mini size items…but I don’t mind it sometimes! It’s a good way to try a couple of mascara’s and see if you think they’re worth spending the money on a full-size for. Lancome is a pretty nice brand and I would venture to guess that their mascara is pretty good quality.
If packaging could win a prize, this would win one. I love the ugly sweater packaging on this lip set. Too Faced tends to do some pretty cool boxes and packages. This cute set comes with 4 Melted Liquid Lipsticks- all travel size. There are 4 colors which are Caramel Apple (caramel terracotta), Sugar Cookie (light neutral beige nude), Candy Cane (light, vibrant, cool-toned red), Hot Toddy (deepened redwood). I’ve tried the Melted Matte Liquid Lips and they’re amazing. One of my favorite red lipsticks is the Melted Matte in Lady Balls so I recommend this line of lipsticks! And this is a good set to buy and split up use as parts of gifts for multiple people.
Just like with the Sephora Favorites lipstick set I mentioned above, this set is another great way to try out some great high-end brands! This brand includes 6 items such as a bronzer/blush duo, eyeshadow, highlighters, and more. The brands that are part of this set are MILK Makeup, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Laura Mercier, Nars, Sephora Collection, and Huda. Some of my favorite brands! The set seems to have pretty good reviews which is always good as well. I love testing new products and these deluxe sizes allow you just enough product to test out without wasting a ton of money.
MILK is a brand I really want to try more of in the coming months. Anything I’ve tried, I’ve enjoyed, so I’m curious to test out some more. This set comes with 6 items: eyeliner, grip primer, mascara, brow gel, serum, and moisturizer. I’m extremely interested in trying that griping primer so this would be a great set to test out! Mainly makeup but a little skincare too. These are considered some of of MILK’s favorite products. I think this would be a great set for someone just starting out.
I sure hope some of these amazing makeup ideas help you with your Christmas shopping! Some of these have been on sale off and on so make sure you check it out! Tell me in the comments what you would buy your makeup loving friend from Sephora! Keep up with all my previous and current blogmas post here.
