On call, waiting for Miss H to make her debut was much more exciting than I thought. After receiving a frantic text that the little lady was arriving much faster than we thought (like approx. 6ish hours after induction) I grabbed my bag and flew out the door.
Luckily God blessed me with no traffic and mostly green lights so I was able to get there about 10-15 minutes after they texted me. I finally got to the room and arrived after little H had entered the world. Other than the first breath, I was able to capture all the special first moments (Thank you Jesus!) and all the more important shots.
I will say, after dealing with grief and loss for the last few months, walking into a room full of new life is refreshing and healing. Seeing new life and hope is exactly what my broken heart needed. I was so thankful I was able to capture these moments for this sweet family. Talk about a grand entrance too, she surprised everyone coming so quick. But she arrived safely and just in time for me to capture her first moments with mom and dad.
