Favorite Lines of Fiction

I am a fiction writer, in my spare time :). I have technically written 2 novels but they were in my HS days and even some JH days so they are a little rough. Anyway, fiction is a big part of my life. I love reading it, experiencing it, and living lives through characters.

I have been a wizard with Harry, a tribute with Peeta, a hostage negotiator with Kate, and so much more when I read books. As a writer, I notice lines of fiction differently. I notice and remember lines that have meant something to me. I can see a line once and it can be on my heart forever.

When I first started blogging, I wrote a post about how I want to one day be known by a line. By that I mean I want to one day publish my fiction and my prayer is that one of my lines can impact someone else like I have been impacted. Today I thought it would be fun just to share some of my favorite lines of fiction with you. I shared a similar post long, long ago but it has been deleted so I can share a refreshed version today.

I will link the book to, in case you want to read it!

“The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand.” – Catching Fire

“For without the dark, we’d never see the stars.” – Twilight

“Three years? That’s a thousand tomorrows ma’am.” – A Thousand Tomorrows *grab your tissues, but it’s worth a read*

“The next time that boy pursues you, he better do it like a dying man looking for water in a desert. When it’s the right guy, you’ll know, because he’ll cherish you.” – Leaving

“She has no idea, the effect she can have…” – Hunger Games

“I love you, in my mind where my thoughts reside, in my heart where my emotions live, and in my soul where my dreams are born. I love you.” – The Healer

“You love me. Real or not real? I tell him, Real.” – Mockingjay

“Dobby has no master, Dobby is a free elf, and Dobby has come to save Harry Potter” – Deathly Hallows *This might be just in the movie, I can’t remember*
