There are songs that immediately take you back to the moment you heard it. There are worship songs that take me back to a worship session where the presence of God was so thick that it was a powerful memory.
All Sons & Daughters (ADAD) is one of those worship duos whose songs do just that. Last Worship Wednesday we had, I did a general overview of this worship team and why I loved them. The next part in this series is today! I want to share my top 5 ASAD songs with y’all.
The thing about ASAD is the fact that their words are incredibly anointed. You know that the presence and glory of God is in each phrase you sing.
Rising Sun
A beautiful song with lyrics that hit right in the heart. They paint a picture of Gods love and His name being higher even than the rising sun in the sky. Gods name is above all and there’s nothing better then proclaiming that name in worship. There a line that sings, “simply to speak your name is praise.” What a incredible reminder that is!

Great are You Lord
On their self titled album, Great are You Lord is probably one of their most well known songs. The phrase “it’s your breath, in our lungs, so we pour out our praise” is sung all throughout the world. I go back to this song all the time because the words never cease to be as powerful as the first time you hear it.

Reason to sing
One of the first ASAD songs I ever heard. From the moment I listened my life was changed! This song has had a powerful impact on my life. I heard it at a point where I was really struggling and this song just lifted me out of the mud and reminded me that there IS a reason to sing and to praise even when life isn’t exactly how I pictured it to be.
The phrases “I need a reason to sing, I need to know that you’re still holding the whole world in your hands,” and “if there be a victory, would you sing it over me now?” Have stuck with me ever since. I plan to go a little more in depth about the meaning of this song next week!

We Give You Thanks
I found this song fairly recently and it was another extremely powerful song by ASAD. The title alone is something I struggle with all the time. I beg God for help and this and that but how often do I stop and thank him? The song is literally all about what we thank God for and its a great reminder and song to sing. The refrain is my favorite part, “All honor and glory forever- From now ’til the end of the age” is a beautiful phrase to end the worship service.

ASAD write songs that are real and powerful for the worshiper to express to God. Their song cover brokenness and fear to praise and thanks! I bet there is a song for any season you find in life. I encourage you to listen to these and others!
