Sweet Brinlee’s birth was an honor to attend. There is something so exciting about seeing new life come into the world. I was blessed to have been at her big brother’s birth as well. To be able to see him meet her for the first time was a beautiful moment. He was so shy and excited to see her.
Seeing dad hover over her in the warmer and the grandma’s fawning over her was so special. If you ever question whether or not having someone take pictures at your birth is worth it or not…it is! Having those memories forever captured is worth it. Birth photography doesn’t have to be graphic or too detailed. It’s just about capturing those moments you might not remember so that you’ll have them for the rest of the time.
Brinlee’s mom even told me afterward that she loved having these pictures because it goes by so fast and it can get overwhelming and chaotic for a laboring momma. But with these pictures, she remembers those moments she could have forgotten.
