I have rarely ever owned “name brand” makeup. I used to not even really care about makeup that much…until now. After Christmas, I went shopping. I purchased this palette…really one of the first good quality palettes I have ever had. I did a lot of research before I bought this- I wanted to know it was worth the price.
YES IT IS.
Even the packaging is great. Gold, white, and black, with a big mirror on the inside that reads “Magic’s in the makeup.” I’m actually not a very big fan of Gwen Stefani, but I adore this palette.
The palette comes with 15 shades (mostly new shades with a few UD favorites in there a well). The colors are beautiful and there is a great mix of matte’s and shimmer’s. It also has a good mix of neutrals to vibrant colors as well. I don’t wear a lot of brown, in fact I doubt I even own any. So I wanted some good neutrals that weren’t just brown tones. This palette is great!
The shades are nicely pigmented and they are very soft and buttery. One thing I enjoy is that they stay on really well. They go on the eye really nicely and don’t have too much fallout under the eye.
A few of my favorite colors are: Skimp (top row third from the left), Pop (First from the left on the bottom row), Serious (Last from the right on the middle row), and Steady (second from the right on the top row).
For anyone looking for a good starter palette or a palette that is very versatile, this one would be a great buy! This palette is available at Ulta, Sephora, Urban Decay, and probably wherever UD is sold and is $58. But this palette is worth every penny!
Go treat yourself and ENJOY!!
