Hello friends and readers! First off, thank you for stopping by W&W and taking time to read my posts. Without ya’ll, I would just be rambling to the wall. I love being able to share my heart and life with ya’ll; so thank you for making it all worth while.
Today I wanted to share a few beauty tips with ya’ll! Now I am no professional, obviously. But these are just tips and tricks that I came up with or heard through the years that I love to do!
We all have things we do to help our beauty or pamper ourselves, I just wanted to share mine! And I am sure some of these you already know, but these are just the most important ones I wanted to share.
1. Apply a liberal amount of lip balm before bed
This might seem simple, but it is such a lifesaver! During the winter, my lips dry out all the time. To combat that-I’ve been applying a good amount of lip balm (EOS, Neutrogena, Burt’s Bees, etc.) before bed. I cake it on. If fact, I usually go a little farther around my mouth than my actual lips are just to get it really moisturized. Half the time when I wake up, I can still feel the remnants on my lips! And keeping your lips soft and smooth helps lipstick look much better on the lips!
2. After taking off gel or acrylic nails, wait a few days to do anything new-give your nails time to heal!
If you’re anything like me, you end up peeling some of your gel nails off toward the end when they’re growing out. Which is horrible for your nails. I can’t be the only one. But what I have realized is that I need to give my poor nails some healing days between gel manicures. It allows my nails to grow a little and it gives them some breathing room so to speak. I do gel manicures at home, so it is easy to give myself a few days in between manicures. I also try to use a strengthening coat after I take off the polish. Take care of those nails!
3. Slap some toothpaste on those blemishes!
I am sure you’ve heard this before, but for me, it really does work! Usually at night, I dab a little toothpaste on any bad blemishes let it dry and head to bed! In the morning the toothpaste has done its work and the blemish is either gone or significantly smaller because the toothpaste dries it up!
4. If you don’t have any makeup remover, use Vaseline!
Did you know this one?? Many times I have ran out of makeup wipes or remover and have heavy mascara and eye makeup that I need to take off. Vaseline is a great way to take it off; its a little messy but it gets the job done. Just remember a little goes a long way!
5. Prime, prime, prime.
From the whole face to eyelids, primer is a a heavenly product! I love to just smooth out and fill in any lines of my face before I put on any foundation or concealer. I find that I get more even makeup when I use a primer, and my makeup stays in place much longer! Some face primers I love: Wet N Wild, Arbonne, elf, and Too Faced. I have only really used Urban Decay eye primer because I love it so much.
What are your beauty tips and tricks?? Let me know!! XO
